About

The Arild Quartet has for more than 15 years been among the leading ensembles on the Danish chamber music scene, where they have garnered many praises for their noble and mature playing style.

The Arild Quartet has made a name for itself with a series of well-attended concerts with Beethoven's complete string quartets, in interpretations that are still the heart of the quartet's repertoire.

The Arild Quartet are frequent guests at Danish and international chamber music festivals, and have toured in countries such as Brazil, Scotland, Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic, Greece and Sweden. The Arild Quartet has recorded digital releases by the Danish Golden Age composers Horneman and Hamerik on DaCapo Records.

In 2024, the Arild Quartet will play "Brahms in the Balkonfoyeren", a concert series in the Balkonfoyeren on the Royal Theatre's Gamle Stage. The three concert programs focus on Brahms' collected string quartets alongside famous and beloved quartets by Mozart and Haydn. Furthermore, the quartet will perform with the clarinetist Mathias Kjøller at 3 concerts over the summer.
